No man safely travels who loves not to rest at home. No man safely talks but he who loves to listen. No man safely rules but he who loves to be subject. No man safely commands but he who loves to obey 3). Whenever two people meet there are really six people present. There is each man as he sees himself, each man as the other sees him, and each man as he really is. 4). Why is it that, in spite of all the mirrors in the world, no one really knows what he looks like? 5). Man has two great spiritual needs. One is for forgiveness. God answered it at Calvary. The other is for goodness. God answered it at Pentecost 6). It is good to know what a man is, and also what the world takes him for. But you do not understand him until you have learnt how he understands himself. 7) .Man differs from the animals in that he asks himself questions. He asks them about the world and about himself, about the meaning of things, the meaning of disease and healing, life and death. He is conscious of his weakness, of his responsibility, and of his shortcomings, and he asks himself if there is any way out. I know that it is in fact God who puts these questions to him, that it is God who is speaking to him, even though he may not realize it. http://www.swat1.org

WISDOM (Application, Knowledge, Learning) What is wisdom, and how do we become wise? Wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge to everyday life. Solomon received wisdom from God, but it was up to Solomon to apply that wisdom to all areas of his life. Solomon was obviously wise in governing the nation, but he was foolish in running his household. Wisdom is both the ability to discern what is best and the strength of character to act upon that knowledge. While Solomon remained wise all his life, he did not always act upon his wisdom

AGE (Life, Maturity, Years) AGE AND HONOR How should age affect the way we treat each other? Our elders deserve our respect. People often find it easy to dismiss the opinions of the elderly and avoid taking time to visit with them. But the fact that God commanded the Israelites to honor the elderly shows how seriously we should take the responsibility of respecting those older than we. Their wisdom gained from experience can keep us from many pitfalls. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12, Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord . (Leviticus 19:32, niv)

Demons are fallen angels who serve Satan. Demon-possessed people are under the control of one or more demons. Demons are fallen angels who joined Satan in his rebellion against God and are now evil spirits under Satan’s control. They help Satan tempt people to sin and have great destructive powers. But whenever they are confronted by Jesus, they lose their power. These demons recognized Jesus as God’s Son, but they didn’t think they had to obey him. Just believing is not enough (see James 2:19 for a discussion of belief and devils). Faith is more than belief. By faith, you accept what Jesus has done for you, receive him as the only one who can save you from sin, and live out your faith by obeying his commands.

What are the characteristics of real heroes? Real heroes are models in every area of life. It is the ultimate heroic act to submit all our plans, desires, and motives to God. Men like Gideon, Jephthah, and Samson are known for their heroism in battle. But their personal lives were far from heroic. Real heroes maintain consistency throughout life. To be truly heroic, we must go into battle each day in our home, job, church, and society to make God’s kingdom a reality. Our weapons are the standards, morals, truths, and convictions we receive from God’s Word. We will lose the battle if we gather the spoils of earthly treasures rather than seeking the treasures of heaven.

GUILT (Fear, Shame, Sorrow) THE SOURCE OF GUILT What makes us feel guilty? THE SOLUTION FOR GUILT How can our guilt be removed? Sin makes us feel guilty. After sinning, Adam and Eve felt guilt and embarrassment over their nakedness. Their guilty feelings made them try to hide from God. A guilty conscience is a warning signal God placed inside you that goes off when you’ve done wrong. The worst step you could take is to eliminate the guilty feelings without eliminating the cause. That would be like using a painkiller but not treating the disease. Be glad those guilty feelings are there. They make you aware of your sin so you can ask God’s forgiveness and then correct your wrongdoing.

, MARRIAGE (Covenant, Promises, Relationship) Look for ways to restore a marriage rather than leave it. Jesus said that divorce is not permissible except for unfaithfulness. This does not mean that divorce should automatically occur when a spouse commits adultery. The word translated “unfaithfulness” implies a sexually immoral life-style, not a confessed and repented act of adultery. Those who discover that their partner has been unfaithful should first make every effort to forgive, reconcile, and restore their relationship. We are always to look for reasons to restore the marriage relationship rather than for excuses to leave it.  BIBLE READING: Matthew 5:31-32It has been said, “Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.” But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery. http://ignitingtheflameofone.com

TIMING (Order, Plan, Sequence) What does the Bible teach us about God’s timing? God’s rescue comes in his timing, not ours. God had promised to bring the Hebrew slaves out of Egypt (Genesis 15:16; 46:3-4). The people had waited a long time for that promise to be kept, but God rescued them when he knew the right time had come. God knows the best time to act. When you feel that God has forgotten you in your troubles, remember that God has a time schedule that we can’t see.

CHALLENGE (Confront, Dare, Test) CHALLENGES FROM PEOPLE How can people challenge one another?   We can challenge others by sharing our vision. Spiritual renewal often begins with one person’s vision. Nehemiah had a vision, and he shared it with enthusiasm, inspiring Jerusalem’s leaders to rebuild the walls. We frequently underestimate people and don’t challenge them with our dreams for God’s work in the world. When God plants an idea in your mind to accomplish something for him, share it with others and trust the Holy Spirit to impress them with similar thoughts. Don’t regard yourself as the only one through whom God is working. Often God uses one person to express the vision and others to turn it into reality. When you encourage and inspire others, you put teamwork into action to accomplish God’s goals.
